    Workshop on Italian Pottery Art:

Practise your Italian by exploring Sicilian pottery art!

    Monday, 6th of March

Learn how to decorate a pot with the Sicilian artist Giovanna Colomba

The aim of this workshop is to bring students closer to pottery art and to Italian language in a very creative way. Students will experiment with plastic and chromatic decorations. In one day, you will have the opportunity to discover the production process of handcrafted pottery and you will familiarise yourself with the vocabulary and strategies used to make an object.

Participants will be provided with the tools needed and they will paint and decorate a pot starting from a model or creating their own decoration using cold working technique.
Besides a better knowledge of Italian language and art, you will leave the workshop with a unique Italian gift handcrafted by yourself!

Giovanna Colomba is a Sicilian artist with a degree from Florence School of Fine Arts, specialized in sculpture. She exhibited at The International ArtExpo in Bari and, recently, at the Expo in Milan (Sicily pavilion). Since 2011 she has her own Art Gallery in Trapani (Sicily) called “Laboratorio D’Arte Leonardo Da Vinci”. She has been giving her contribution to major events and courses organised in different fields: art, culture, food and wine, music.
