    We are pleased to present our first workshop dedicated to the Italian gesticulation with Luca Vullo, director of the upcoming documentary INFLUX.workshop Luca Vullo
    This interactive workshop is a great occasion for a full immersion in the Italian language and culture, experiencing the art of Gesture for which Italians are famous. There will be the opportunity to learn how to express feelings and emotions through the body and facial expressions, to explore international symbols and gestures, becoming familiar with the non-verbal communication.

    Luca Vullo is a versatile Sicilian artist and film-maker who recognizes the educational value of audio-visual art and has been successfully involved in Media Education for several years. He has written, shot, directed and edited several award-winning documentaries and docudramas.
    His docudrama on the Italians non-verbal communication strategies, The Voice of the Body, 2011, won numerous awards and launched Luca on the international spotlight (his works were screened at the Italian Cultural Institutes in London, Copenhagen, Tirana, Edimburgo, Amburgo, Sydney).
    In 2012 Luca moved to London, where he worked as body language coach for the 2013 production of Pirandello’s ‘Liolà’ at the National Theatre (dir. Richard Eyre). He started a successful screening tour of The Voice of the Body and he held workshops on Italian non-verbal communication both in UK (UCL, King’s College London, Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester, University of Sussex) and abroad: Dante Alighieri Society in Norway and in Germany, Melbourne Monash University, Sydney University, USA.

    The workshop on Italian gesticulation will be held on Monday the 9th of February from 6.30 to 8.30pm at the Edgware Academy, Covent Garden. A nice Italian Aperitivo will be served at the end of the workshop.
